Feature Highlights

Scheduling Improvements

  • New visual indicator for resource conflicts in schedules and quick access to schedules

  • Open 'Edit Task' dialog on double click on the taskbar in all Gantt charts

  • Gantt charts can now be viewed in full screen and exported to PDF

  • CCO tasks for $0 cost centres from the job estimate are no longer automatically added to the job schedule until a cost is allocated to them

  • Supervisors are notified when new CCO tasks have been added to the schedule via job estimate updates and have the ability to confirm new tasks

  • Now you can ‘undelete’ tasks in schedules and a toggle has been added to view all deleted tasks

  • New icon to change the size of the Current Tasks List table in the Task details

  • Improved handling of completed tasks in various schedule reports

  • Enhanced vendor report generation and delivery

Estimating Updates

  • New To Do notifications for Estimators for when schedule resources are changed after job orders have already been sent

  • Added checkmark icon in VAR/CO column in job estimate for confirmed variations

  • Estimators are now given the option to create new schedule tasks from new orders while updating job estimates

House & Land Package Updates

  • Added internal images from plan bank to house and land packages

  • Streamlined facade selection process for draft packages

  • Improved visibility of package numbers for better tracking

Lead Management Enhancements

  • Updated lead sources to reflect current marketing channels

  • Web Leads on Leads Board now change from blue only after an Activity is recorded

User Experience Improvements

  • Added Undo/Redo functionality in Schedule Gantt Charts, Worksheets, House Plan Estimates, and Job Estimates

  • Added watermark to document previews

  • Improved handling of user deactivation and file transfers

  • Updated Intercom integration for better support ticket creation

  • Enhanced permissions for franchisor and master users to manage user and office statuses

Fixed Issues

  • Resolved various issues with financial calculations and reporting

  • Fixed multiple bugs related to job estimates and orders

  • Addressed problems with schedule task exclusions and deletions

  • Corrected issues with vendor report generation and delivery

Changes to Be Aware Of

  • Now when you click “Send Request to Support” via the help menu a chat window will appear to engage with our support team and access the help docs without leaving the Builder Portal.

  • Some lead sources have been removed or consolidated

  • Document previews now include a watermark for enhanced security

Technical Updates

  • Upgraded Sentry error tracking configuration

UI Improvements

  • Fixed issues with employee photo uploads to the website

  • Addressed various UI and functionality issues in the Builder Portal

Mobile App

  • Fixed issues with the mobile app, including checklist report visibility and app installation

Scheduling and Job Management

  • Corrected slab date triggering based on critical paths

  • Resolved problems with CCO tasks linked to CP in schedules

Financial Reporting

  • Fixed issues in the Financial YTD Averages Report, including:

    • Corrected Advertising % Sales calculation

    • Fixed Finalised Job NP % showing extreme negative values

    • Resolved cumulative calculation used for Wages

    • Addressed some advertising accounts not realizing data

Known Issues

  • Financial YTD Averages Sales calculation doesn't factor Receive Money transactions from Xero

  • Error 23502 while copying house plan estimates between offices

What's Next

We're continually working to improve G.J. Software and are excited about several upcoming initiatives:

  • New Development Team: We're in the middle of bringing on an entirely new team of software developers. This change brings fresh perspectives and diverse technological backgrounds, potentially allowing us to deliver features more quickly in the future.

Note: There will be a transition period as we handle knowledge transfer, which may result in some temporary delays.

  • Planned Improvements: We're focusing on enhancing several key areas:

    • Scheduling system

    • Financial reporting accuracy

    • Pre-construction scheduling

    • Graphic take-off functionality

  • Mobile App Survey: Look out for a survey in the next couple of weeks about potential improvements to our G.J. Manage Mobile app. Your feedback is invaluable!

  • Ongoing Optimizations: As always, we'll continue our efforts to optimize performance and enhance user experience across the platform.

  • Technology Subcommittee: In partnership with the Franchise Advisory Council, establishing a Technology Subcommittee and are currently reviewing nominations for advisors to help shape the direction of G.J. Software and other technology services.

We'll be carefully prioritising these initiatives to determine which ones we can tackle first. The timeline for implementation may vary as we work through this process. We appreciate your patience and continued support as we strive to make G.J. Software even better for you.
