We've been working hard to enhance our estimating features, improving integration with schedules, adding more control over order management and supplier communication, and increasing overall efficiency.

Check out our latest updates below.

Latest Releases

Improved Integration with Schedules

Exclude $0 cost centres from Schedules

We've streamlined the process of creating schedule tasks from job orders. Now, the system will only create Schedule Tasks for Job Orders with amounts greater than $0. This change helps reduce clutter and focuses on the most relevant tasks. Additionally, tasks from the same Cost Centre will be grouped and linked to the parent Critical Path task, rather than being added to the bottom of the list. This grouping provides a more organized and logical structure to your schedules.

Create new CCO tasks in job schedules

We've automated the process of adding new tasks to job schedules when job orders or variations are created.

Here's what's new:

  • The system automatically creates new CCO (Contract Change Order) schedule tasks

  • Orders from the same cost centre are grouped together

  • A new dialog manages Job Orders with amounts greater than $0, displaying key details

  • Supervisors receive notifications about new tasks

  • The Gantt Chart now includes a 'Var' column to indicate tasks from Job Estimates

Improved Visual Cues

Show checkmark icon for confirmed variations/change orders

We've made it easier to track confirmed variations in Job estimates. When a user confirms a variation by double-clicking, the system now displays a checkmark icon in the 'Var' column. This visual indicator allows you to quickly distinguish between items from the original job estimate and those resulting from changes.

Improved User Control and Efficiency

Undo/Redo Actions in Job Estimates and House Plan Estimates

We've added Undo/Redo functionality to Job Estimates and House Plan Estimates, giving you more control over your work. These actions cover a wide range of operations, including:

  • Adding/removing cost centres

  • Editing item/component tables

  • Confirming variations

  • Editing formulas and cutting lists

  • And more!

This feature allows you to experiment with changes and easily revert them if needed, enhancing your workflow efficiency.

Exclude Creditor/Supplier contacts from receiving orders

We've added more flexibility in managing your Creditor/Supplier contacts. A new 'Exclude from receiving Job orders' checkbox has been added to Creditor/Supplier contact details. This checkbox is unticked by default, allowing you to easily exclude specific contacts from receiving job orders when necessary.

Improved Communication and Notifications

Notify Estimator of resource changes

We've implemented a new notification system to keep Estimators informed about resource changes:

  • Estimators receive notifications via ToDo tasks and email when resources for job orders are updated or deleted

  • For printed purchase orders, the system does not update them automatically; Estimators must make these updates manually

  • New ToDo Permissions have been added to Office Role Permissions, which need to be activated for the Estimator's user role to enable this feature

This enhancement ensures that Estimators are always aware of changes that may impact their estimates, improving communication and accuracy across your projects.

Previous Releases

Access purchase orders from schedules

Now printed job orders are available directly from the corresponding schedule task if they have been printed by the Estimator.

New 'Sent Date' column added to Job Orders

Now Estimators can easily track when each order was sent to suppliers. This column displays the date when a job order was produced and delivered to the supplier.
