Version: Frontend 5.4.7 / Backend 5.4.33

This G.J. Software release introduces valuable new features for estimating and job management, user experience improvements, including UI optimisations and customisable grids, and addresses several key bugs impacting financial syncs, pricing calculations, Graphic Takeoff, and Google Drive management to enhance stability and workflow efficiency.

New Features

Estimating & Price Books

  • UoM and Cost Columns Added to Estimates and Price Books: To enhance data visibility and create parity with Sales Quotes, new "Unit of Measure (UoM)" and "Cost" columns have been added when viewing items and components within Job Estimates, House Estimates, and Price Books. This provides more detailed information directly where you need it, streamlining the estimating process.

Schedules & Job Management

  • Filter for Completed Schedules in All Schedule Views: To help you better manage and focus on active work, a Show Completed toggle has been added to the filter options for Sales, Pre-Construction, Construction, and Maintenance/Warranty schedules. This allows you to easily hide or show schedules that are 100% complete.

Improvements

Estimating & Quoting

  • Customer Price (Incl. GST) Added to Variations/Change Orders (AU/NZ): To provide greater pricing transparency for customers in Australia and New Zealand, a Customer Price (Incl. GST) column has been added to the variations/change orders screen. On printed variation/change order documents, this column is now labeled simply as "Price" and displays the GST-inclusive value.

  • Customizable Grid Width and Persistent Settings in Estimates: Users can now adjust the width of the grid separating cost centers and takeoff parameters in House Estimates, Job Estimates, and Sales Estimates. Additionally, the system will now remember your preferred grid dimensions (expanded/collapsed state and width), applying these settings automatically when you next open the estimates screen. Further enhancements, including the ability to collapse columns, are planned for this area in a near-future update.

User Experience & Productivity

  • Autofocus on Key Input Fields in Setup and Estimating: To save clicks and improve data entry speed, an autofocus feature has been implemented. The first editable field (e.g., 'Code' field) will now automatically receive focus when opening creation windows for Items, Components, Cost Centers, Sub-Offices, SMS Templates, and Email Templates.

  • Integration Accounts Tab Reordering (Xero First): To improve user experience and reduce clicks for the most frequently accessed integration, the order of tabs in Setup > System Variables > Integration Accounts has been updated. The Xero tab is now positioned first, followed by Twilio.

Fixed Issues

Integrations

  • Corrected Credit Note Syncing Delays with Xero: An issue has been resolved where the application of credit notes to multiple invoices in Xero was not consistently syncing. This fix ensures that invoice balances are updated correctly and promptly after a credit note is applied, providing accurate progress claim/draw statements.

  • Resolved Error Transferring Google Drive Ownership for Franchise Owner: Addressed an issue where a bad_request error could occur when attempting to transfer Google Drive ownership for a franchise owner to a new office user. The transfer process has been verified to ensure ownership can be successfully reassigned.

Graphic Takeoff (GTO)

  • Consistent Crosshair Cursor in GTO Views: An issue has been resolved where the crosshair cursor would incorrectly change to the default arrow cursor when switching between different views of a plan in Graphic Takeoff. The crosshair cursor will now remain consistently displayed during all measurement activities across various views.

  • View Takeoff Parameters on Locked/Printed Quotes: Users can now successfully view individual takeoff parameters and switch between them from the Graphic Takeoff of a locked (i.e., printed) sales quote. This allows for easy review of takeoff details without needing to unlock the quote or navigate to the estimating sections. Please note this is a view-only enhancement for locked quotes.

Estimates & Quoting

  • Customer Contacts Visibility in House & Land Package Quotes: A fix has been implemented to ensure that customer contacts with active sales folders correctly appear in the dropdown list when creating a new quote for House and Land packages. This addresses an issue previously preventing eligible contacts from being displayed.

  • Corrected Total Customer Price Calculation for House and Land Packages: Resolved an issue in House and Land Packages where the total customer price was incorrectly calculated (adding debit and credit amounts before GST). The system now correctly calculates the price using the formula (Debit - Credit) + GST, ensuring accurate final pricing for customers.

  • Quote Price in List of Quotations Now Displays Correct Rounded Price: Fixed a discrepancy where the price including GST displayed in the list of quotations (RFQ Management) did not always match the rounded price shown when the quote was opened. The list view now consistently reflects the correct rounded (or unrounded) price based on the quote's settings.

User Management & System

  • Office Email Display Alignment in System Variables: A minor display issue has been corrected for the office email address in Setup > System Variables > Franchisee Tab. The email and domain name will now appear correctly aligned as a single, continuous line.
