In an upcoming update, franchises will be able to directly edit the 'No. of Units' field for jobs, which will improve reporting accuracy and streamline the update process.

What's Changing

The ability to edit the No. of Units for a job will be extended to franchise users. This field will be editable during the Job Creation flow process, including when you:

  • Complete a Sale

  • Create a DPP Job

  • Create a Quick Job

Previously, only Corporate or Master administrator users could adjust this field. This change will remove the need for franchises to request manual updates from the support team. Consequently, the temporary chat notification used to request these changes will be retired once this feature is live.

Why It Matters

  • Reduced Administrative Delays: By providing direct access, this change will eliminate the previous workflow where franchises had to contact support to update unit counts. This will improve efficiency by giving you direct control over your job data.

  • Improved Reporting Accuracy: The No. of Units field is essential for accurate reporting. Certain jobs, like homes with a detached ADU, duplexes, or other multi-unit structures, represent more than one sale or slab. Setting this field correctly will ensure that key business reports accurately reflect the total volume of units, not just the number of jobs.

  • Streamlined Process: The workflow will be fully integrated into the job creation process. Retiring the chat notification will remove a manual step for both franchises and the support team.

Getting Started

Office Users:

Once the feature is released, you will be able to set the unit count in the following areas:

  1. Confirm or edit the No. of Units on page three of the Complete a Sale workflow.

  2. Set the value when creating a new DPP Job.

  3. Set the No. of Units field during the Quick Job Creation process.

Once set, you cannot change this value from Job details. You must request help from support to amend this value.

System Administrators:

Users with system administration access may change or override unit counts by navigating to the Contracts Manager in the left side menu and searching for the job to be amended. From there, you can change the No. of Units for the job.

Rollout Pace

This feature will be generally available on a rollout schedule:

  • United States: July 14, 2025

  • Australia & New Zealand: July 21, 2025
