Version: Frontend 5.4.13 / Backend 5.4.40
This month's release brings a range of enhancements focused on improving user experience, streamlining data entry, and resolving key issues. You'll find new functionality for phone number management, updates to the price book, and several important fixes that improve system stability and data accuracy.
New Features
Contacts
Phone Number Masking & Validation: When entering phone numbers for a contact, the system will now automatically format the number and prevent you from entering non-numerical characters. The new Phone 1 and Phone 2 fields now include memo fields to capture individual contact names, which helps with contact matching between website leads and Xero.
Improvements
Estimating & Price Books
Default Quantity on Price Book Items: The quantity field will now automatically default to '1' when you select a new item or component from the Find Items & Components dialog. This small but effective change removes a manual step, making the estimating process faster and more fluid.
Financial Management
WIP Report: For our Australian users, the Work in Progress (WIP) report now has the Exclude DPP checkbox unticked by default. This change means you no longer have to manually deselect the box each time you open the report, saving you a click.
User Experience & Productivity
Pop-up Message for Bulk Update Tasks: To prevent potential errors and confusion, a new pop-up message will appear when a component has outstanding bulk update tasks. This message provides a clear warning, helping you understand the status of your tasks before you proceed.
Fixed Issues
Sales & Contracts
Contract Price Field Duplication: We have resolved an issue where the Contract Price field was appearing twice in the Complete a Sale flow. The flow now correctly displays only a single, accurate Contract Price field.
Financial Sync
New Zealand Xero Sync Outage: An issue that caused a service outage for the NZ Xero sync process for a few days has been fixed, and all data is syncing as expected.
Technical Updates
Platform & Infrastructure: We have successfully upgraded our Kubernetes clusters to version 1.29 across all environments and have upgraded PostgreSQL to version 13.21. These upgrades improve security, stability, and overall performance.
Monitoring & Optimization: We've installed the Kubernetes Metrics API, which allows us to monitor CPU and memory usage. Additionally, we upgraded our Postgres database storage to GP3 and implemented comprehensive CloudWatch monitoring. These changes allow our team to better monitor performance, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the reliability of the platform.
Known Issues
No new critical known issues have been introduced with this release. We are aware of a minor issue in the new phone number field where, after selecting a country code, the chosen country may temporarily disappear from the dropdown while a different country with the same code (e.g., Canada and the United States, both with +1) appears at the top of the list. We are working to resolve this in the next few days, and do not expect it to significantly impact user workflow. The development team continues to monitor platform performance and address any ongoing items in future updates.
Rollout Information
This release is rolling out on a staggered schedule:
New Zealand: Available now.
United States: Planned for September 10, 2025.
Australia: Planned for September 11, 2025.
