This release primarily addresses several user-reported bugs to enhance platform stability and data accuracy. It also includes a couple of notable improvements to streamline user experience and system resilience. GJS 5.4.28 has been deployed to Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Improvements
System & Data Accessibility
Enhanced Phone Number Search Functionality: Searching for contacts by phone number is now more flexible. The system better recognizes and matches different phone number formats (e.g., +61432258983, 0432258983, 432258983), improving search efficiency, reducing the likelihood of duplicate leads, and enhancing the overall user experience.
Resilient Access to Job Information: Backend enhancements now allow users to access jobs, schedules, and other related pages even if an associated Google Drive link is missing or broken. This ensures more consistent access to critical project information.
Fixed Issues
Office Creation
Purchase Order "Send by" Method Consistency: Corrected an issue where applying a Job Schedule would inadvertently change the "Send by" method for Purchase Orders from a user-selected 'printer' to 'email'. The system now correctly retains the user's intended "Send by" method.
RFQ Customer Price Calculation Accuracy: Fixed an error in the total customer price calculation within RFQ management. The calculation now correctly uses the formula (Debit - Credit) + GST, ensuring accurate pricing for quotations. Note: This only affected the displayed internal quote change item cost and did not impact the total RFQ price.
Contract Amount Calculation on Claims Tab: Updated the logic for contract amount calculations on the Job Claims tab. When a job is created, Quotation Totals will now consistently be rounded (half up to 2 decimal places) to populate the Contract Amounts, irrespective of the ‘Round Totals’ checkbox status, ensuring consistent financial data.
New Office Creation: Resolved an error related to Google Group settings that previously prevented the successful creation of new offices. Admins can now create new offices without this impediment.
Office Cloning Stability: Addressed an error and potential data corruption that could occur when cloning an office and importing data from another. This fix ensures a more reliable office setup process.
