Schedules provide a capability to track the completion of tasks for a specific job, view dependencies of tasks, and visualise the entire progress on the Gantt chart. This guide covers managing construction, preconstruction, maintenance/warranty, and sales schedules.

Construction Schedules

  • Purpose: Track the completion of construction tasks for a specific job.

  • Usage: Used to manage and visualise the progress of construction activities, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and in the correct sequence.

Preconstruction Schedules

  • Purpose: Track the completion of tasks before construction begins.

  • Usage: Used to manage and plan preconstruction activities, ensuring all necessary preparatory work is completed before starting construction.

Note: Preconstruction Schedules were designed to be used in the worksheet view to track the progress of multiple jobs and not as a task list or Gantt Chart.

Maintenance/Warranty Schedules

  • Purpose: Track the completion of maintenance and warranty tasks for a job after handover.

  • Usage: Used to manage and track maintenance and warranty activities, ensuring all post-construction tasks are addressed.

Sales Schedules

  • Purpose: Track the completion of sales tasks for a specific job.

  • Usage: Used to manage and visualise the progress of sales activities, ensuring all sales-related tasks are completed efficiently.

Note: Sales Schedules are not widely used and are no longer taught as part of the G.J. Way of Sales.
